Building A Healthy Legacy: Our Prescription for the Future…
Warm Greetings from the President...
The Charlotte Chapter has a diverse membership which includes educators, doctors, nurses, dentists, judges, lawyers, bankers, social workers, writers, CEO’s, entrepreneurs, writers, published authors, consultants, community activists, researchers, and volunteers. These are dedicated women who strive to help others through the giving of their time, talent, and resources.
Because of the outstanding service that this chapter has provided to the Charlotte Community, its positive stature has continued to grow during the past 60 years. Please read The Charlotte Chapter’s History that is linked on this website. It also notes the many awards for outstanding programming and Best Practices. Programming is The Heart of Linkdom with intentional emphasis on five major facets: The Arts, Health And Human Services, International Trends and Services, National Trends and Services, and Services To Youth.
In 2015 and beyond, The Charlotte Chapter will have new challenges that we MUST mount with tenacity. The Charlotte Chapter of the Links, Incorporated is a phenomenal chapter. We must reflect on our accomplishments and move forward to the coming year with even greater energy, teamwork and positive attitudes. The chapter has grown by leaps and bounds in terms of achievements and goals. We assembled ourselves through the Grace of God to make a difference, and we must continue that commitment. Even as we do more, we must always realize that there is more to do. As we experience growth, we will be met with more wonderful and even greater challenges.
Our mission is still the same: friendship and service. What we are becoming is even greater than what we have ever been. We are a blessed chapter by “Setting an Agenda for Success” and “Touching Tomorrow Today.” Our sincerest hope is that we will make a POSITIVE difference in the quality of the lives of all we encounter, and we will endeavor to uphold our commitment.
The Charlotte Chapter is truly phenomenal and continues to prevail in its commitments to service (with a smile) and friendship. It is a pleasure to do both.
Dr. Daisy R. Walker, President
